Aluminum Motorcycle Lamp Housing This part consist of three parts, a bracket, an end cover and a body housing. This part is used on the motorcycle, as it is applied to outdoor sport, so the UV-proof property is very important, in the surface specification requirement, the powder is appointed to be Tiger brand, a global famous powder company. The technology of manufacturing this part is aluminum alloy high pressure die casting. the type of the aluminum material for this part is ADC-12, a most common aluminum alloy in die casting industry, which has very good performance on fluidity, also, this material have very good capability of processability. It is common to be used to produce housing part.
The difficulty of this part is the surface treatment, in order to improve the performance on the ultraviolet resistance, the tiger powder is brought in, then, under the sun for long time, the powder is possible to happen to peel off from the part surface, so we try to improve the adhesion force between the powder and the aluminum housing, by vibratory deburring the housing prior to machining work. What's more, on the print, some areas are required to have no powder, such as the internal cavity, because the part is lamp housing, while working, it will generate plenty of heat, so for the reason of thermal dissipation, it is not allowed to have powder.
What's more, both the housing and end cover have fit thread, the density of the part is important to control, not only because loose grain structure will have problem of voids inside of the part, which will expand to get out when the part cure in oven under about temperature of 200 degree during powder coating procedure, but also it have potential risk of thread broken while machining, leading to bad fitting of the two mating components.
